This is the theme that will be tackled in Week UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development to be held throughout Italy 10 to 16 November 2008.
The initiative relates to the "DESS - Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014" , proclaimed by the UN global campaign, coordinated by UNESCO, in order to spread the values, knowledge and lifestyle-oriented respect for others and for the planet.
The event was primarily aimed at developing young people as adults, in individuals as in community capacity operational and responsible action aimed at reducing and recycling waste.
The Week "requires that various actors in the area, belonging to the Italian countryside UNESCO - DESS (agencies, institutions, schools, associations, universities ..) to organize, under the auspices of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO, initiatives of various kinds aimed at spreading the culture of waste prevention, promote the most effective forms of recycling and thus build a more just and harmonious. We, students of the Biological "Mazzocchi" Ascoli Piceno, we decided to take care of the problem "waste" planning various activities to be conducted during the school year.
